The sociopolitics of outdoor binge drinking

Young people without moral springs, professional expectations, demoralized surrender to the bottle to escape

The best poem by Jaime Gil de Biedma: “I will never be young again”, reads: … “That life was for real, one starts to understand later”... “Ageing, dying, are the only argument of the work”... Being aware of death fills our tragic life with significance due to its end. We need spiritual strength to carry life’s burden. We cannot live decently if we go against our nature. A path without stones does not strengthen walkers. Experience of controlled failures can be trained for by making educational efforts, or practicing sport or fishing. A person’s values are a means and an important guideline for one’s conduct; easy access to alcohol, drugs and pornography 24 hours a day, and lack of moral values, lead to evasion, hedonism, addictions and disordered entertainment, and are capable of destroying anyone when faced with misfortune. Family authority benchmarks crack from so many divorces/separations. Spanish youths suffer tremendous spiritual fragility, and their depressions and suicides rise alarmingly (but are hidden). Education and family must morally strength youths, and governments allow them a future. Gyms, anti-ageing treatments, ways to lose weight or gain hair flourish, and many people want to look younger. The responsibility of eliminating traditions of education has its moral crime dimension. Spanish public education has always been in socialists’ hands, even though they do not govern, because PP wavers. Since Zapatero, cooperative spiritual and moral values have been gradually removed from public education by vetoing traditions: Judaism, Christianity, etc. Pursuing state-aided private teaching is insatiable. Making educational efforts provides self-esteem, security, confidence, critical capacity, teaching for living. The Spanish middle class is disappearing, poverty is rising, hunger queues are easily found, and 14% of workers are poor. Economic politics based on importing almost everything and producing practically nothing generates structural unemployment that stands at 40% for youths. Without moral support, training in failure, no possibilities of making a living and no vocation awoken by education, youths have been swindled by a promise of a non-existent future. Many of the 1.15 million public university students, “subsidised up to 80%” by our taxes, will not find a job, or will earn wages, but not afford to live independently because there are too many degree holders. Lack of quality vocational training centres promoting professions and the manufacturing industry; there are too many lawyers, architects, historians, etc., but not enough doctors, builders, lorry drivers, plumbers, carpenters, etc. The Spanish workforce is like an army of officers with barely any troops and out-of-date armament. Socialist educational principles spread the ideology of gender, anti-patriotism, not making the effort, critical sense and traditions. Outdoor binge drinking sessions are the way Mediterranean youths express not having reasonable moral values, hope and expectations to earn a living. “Ni-ni” youths (neither study nor work; with 1 in every 5 aged 18-24 years) practice outdoor binge drinking with all kinds of demoralised people over 16 years with no vocation. The intellectuals responsible for outdoor binge drinking are the governing socialists/separatists who have ruined this country both materially and morally; their voters are necessary accomplices. The disappearing middle class increases outdoor binge drinking because lack of resources does not enable youths to practice civilised entertainment. Effects cannot be changed if no action is taken regarding causes; every socialist/separatist vote contributes to outdoor binge drinking, whose victims are the same youths who practice it. Outdoor binge drinking camouflages all kinds of criminals. For some time, socialist/separatist governments have emptied security forces of authority so they are “proportional”. Spain is the paradise of international crime. More illegal immigrants arrive in Spain, which increases hidden economy, lowers salaries, allows crime figures to rise; homes are illegally occupied, defenceless security forces are attacked. Totalitarian socialism robs us: law, order, territorial unity, ethics, legal security, traditions, family, private property, freedom, legal male/female equality. It floods us with advisors, superfluous civil servants, freed trade unions, taxes, debt, prohibitions, fines, unemployment and precariousness. Outdoor binge drinking is the tip of the iceberg of demoralised youths with no future, who have been swindled and thrown out of the middle class.
